01
Data collection and use
Pocket Bookmarks helps users manage browser bookmarks and personal web resources. The service uses account login to identify your workspace, sync your resource data, and keep your private collections separate from public resource pages.
Saved links, categories, tags, descriptions, and related settings are stored in the cloud system and may be cached locally for performance.
Login information is used to authenticate the owner of a workspace. Account access is visible only to the account owner.
Frequently used categories, UI preferences, and extension settings may be stored locally to make the product faster and more reliable.
Public resource pages only display resources or categories that you explicitly choose to publish or share.
02
Extension permission justifications
The browser extension requests permissions only to provide resource capture, organization, sidebar access, and synchronization features.
03
Remote code and service communication
Pocket Bookmarks may load or communicate with trusted service resources over HTTPS from the application domain to keep the extension compatible with the web-based resource library.
- Service communication is performed through HTTPS.
- Resource categories, settings, and permission rules may be synchronized with the cloud system.
- Backend API changes may be supported without requiring users to manually reconfigure the extension.
- Performance-sensitive tasks may be handled by remote service modules where appropriate.
04
Data security
Pocket Bookmarks is designed so private resource collections remain available only to the authenticated account owner unless the owner chooses to share selected content.
- Private resources are visible only to the account owner.
- Editing and deletion actions are restricted to the owner account.
- Public share features do not grant edit permission to visitors.
- Data synchronization uses secure service communication.
05
User control
Users control the resources they add, update, delete, import, export, and share. Local extension storage can be cleared through browser or extension settings. Public sharing can be limited to selected categories or disabled when no longer needed.
